As winter winds down and the curling season wraps up, the Keystone Rainbow Curling League is celebrating with something special — a free, fun, beginner‑friendly “Learn to Curl” event open to the entire 2SLGBTQ+ community!

Whether you’ve watched curling on TV, tried it once, or have no idea what “throwing a rock” means, this event is the perfect chance to get on the ice, meet new people, and try something uniquely Canadian in a warm, welcoming environment.

📅 When & Where

🗓 Saturday, March 21st

🕚 11:00 AM

📍 Granite Curling Club – 1 Granite Way, Winnipeg, Manitoba

The historic Granite Curling Club provides a fantastic backdrop for learning, laughing, and sliding around with new friends.

🧊 What You’ll Do

Get ready for a hands‑on introduction to curling that includes:

  • Meeting friendly faces from the community

  • Learning curling basics and rules

  • Throwing your first stones

  • Practicing sweeping techniques

  • Trying out slides on the ice

  • Being guided by supportive instructors every step of the way

No competitiveness, no pressure — just pure fun.

👕 What to Wear

  • Clean indoor shoes (this is a must!)

  • Stretchy, comfortable pants for easy movement on the ice

Bundle up just enough — arenas are cool, but you’ll warm up quickly once you’re sweeping!
