As winter winds down and the curling season wraps up, the Keystone Rainbow Curling League is celebrating with something special — a free, fun, beginner‑friendly “Learn to Curl” event open to the entire 2SLGBTQ+ community!
Whether you’ve watched curling on TV, tried it once, or have no idea what “throwing a rock” means, this event is the perfect chance to get on the ice, meet new people, and try something uniquely Canadian in a warm, welcoming environment.

The historic Granite Curling Club provides a fantastic backdrop for learning, laughing, and sliding around with new friends.
🧊 What You’ll Do
Get ready for a hands‑on introduction to curling that includes:
Meeting friendly faces from the community
Learning curling basics and rules
Throwing your first stones
Practicing sweeping techniques
Trying out slides on the ice
Being guided by supportive instructors every step of the way
No competitiveness, no pressure — just pure fun.
👕 What to Wear
Clean indoor shoes (this is a must!)
Stretchy, comfortable pants for easy movement on the ice
Bundle up just enough — arenas are cool, but you’ll warm up quickly once you’re sweeping!
🧰 Equipment? Don’t Worry About It!
You don’t need to bring anything. Brooms and sliders will be provided for all participants, so you can show up with just your enthusiasm.
